4. Data Entry Operator

The digital world requires the storage of every bit of information in computer databases. This means one has to be proficient in typing and handling large amounts of databases. Many of these jobs are “work from home”, all you need is an internet connection and a laptop.

There is also a DOE (Data Entry Operator) exam conducted by the SSC (Staff Selection Commission). The minimum age to apply for the test is 18 years, and also the candidate must possess a speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour. The exam is conducted every year, which can open many more gates while looking for a job in the DOE sector.

The various jobs under this sector are Accounts Clerk, Office Administrator, Secretary, and Project Supervisor Officers. These job designations require one to handle tasks like bookkeeping, verifying and compiling data, maintaining spreadsheets, and some other specialized tasks like preparing payroll as Office Administrator and managing a project from its inception till its termination as a Project Supervisor Officer. 

Eligibility: You can be a fresher from any stream for working in this sector, but for a 12th pass from the commerce stream, it’d be much more efficient for them. You must have an excellent knowledge of office management software like MS Office and Google Suite.

Salary: The average salary of a data entry operator is Rs. 19,000 per month.

5. Photography

Undoubtedly, a job around your area of interest is both easy and pleasurable. If photography is your passion, you can then definitely convert it into a fruitful career for yourself. Photography is also present within a wide variety of fields, for instance, wildlife photography, photojournalist, feature photographer, etc. For garnering some experience, paid internships are also available. 6. Indian Defence Services

The Indian Defence Services is one of the highest paying jobs for 12th pass outs. It is also desired by most, as the jobs under this sector are government jobs. The different posts in this sector are Indian Army Officer, Woman Military Police, Indian Airforce Officer, Airman, and Indian Navy Officer.

Eligibility: For the post of Indian Army Officer and Woman Military Police, 10+2 with any stream qualifies, however, for Indian Navy Officer, Airman, and Indian Air Force, there are certain stream requirements, most of these require 12th pass outs from science stream. One also needs to qualify for the UPSC NDA examinations to get into Defence Services.

Salary: The salary in defense services from position to position, however, they start from 4.5 Lakh Per annum to 12 Lakh Per annum.

7. Police Department

The police department releases forms according to the available vacancies in different posts. 12th Pass outs can apply for the job of a constable.

Eligibility: The interested people, pass outs from any stream, have to give the CRPF exam along with some physical and medical fitness tests.

Salary: The Salary for a constable is around Rs.15,000 to Rs.20,000 per month.

8. Forest Department

Every state has its own forest department which looks after conserving forests, their wildlife, and habitats along with providing environmental conservation services to the citizens. Freshers who are sensitive towards the environment and the surrounding nature can find a place in the forest department. The various posts under this are junior assistant, forest guards, forester, etc. For posts like forest guards and junior assistant, one has to appear for an exam and interviews.

Eligibility: All 12th pass-outs from PCB or PCMB stream are eligible.

Salary: You can earn anywhere from Rs.15,000 to Rs. 20,000 per month.

9. Indian Railways

The Railway Sector holds the Railway Recruitment Board Examinations, and every year hires a lot of freshers in multiple posts. A job in the Railway department is financially stable and secure. A fresher can apply for the positions of railway constable, railway clerk, Ticket Collector, technician, etc. The job positions in this sector are either technical or non-technical, therefore interested students can choose whatever fits them perfectly.

Eligibility: Mostly students from a PCM background are preferred.

Salary: The salary varies according to the posts, but you can expect an average salary of Rs. 20,000 per month. Salaries in the Indian Railways are stable throughout, and employees also stand chances of good promotions and increments.
